Santa Monica native Megan Mack grew up with a lasting awareness of the socio-cultural power of “fame”, the entertainment industry, and a narrow-minded view of “success”. In high school, she turned to photography as a way to find her own meaning in an already image-saturated world. Her deep curiosity about other people’s lives guided her work to portraiture, where she found her passion was the immediate connection with her subjects and working together to collaborate.
Upon graduating from Art Center College of Design, she turned her focus to commercial portraiture where she brings a deep introspection and subtle empathy to each portrait. She seeks fascinating people, subcultures, and untold stories. Recently she has co-created a photography collective called Seeing Collective: space for photographers to share clients, industry knowledge, and gain critical feedback on personal projects. She is excited to be collaborating and performing with Haus of Sweat which nourishes her passion and love for performance, alter-ego drag, & dance. She resides in NY & LA and travels often.
